New Skoda Karoq revealed: prices, specs & release date
The facelifted Skoda Karoq has been revealed for 2022.
The new Skoda Karoq gets a fresh face, extra equipment – including clever matrix LED headlights – and starts from £25,950 for a 110PS petrol model.
Revamped Skoda Karoq styling and engines
The new Skoda Karoq gets a classic mid-life facelift with a smarter front end and a revised rear, it looks fresher than the outgoing version, although you’d have to park the two side-by-side to put a finger on what’s actually changed.
Do that and you’ll see the new car has slimmer headlights, a wider grille and ‘aero optimised’ wheels complete with fashionable plastic inserts.
The engine range is unchanged. You can choose from petrols and diesels ranging from 110 to 150PS. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard, but you can swap it for a seven-speed DSG. Four-wheel drive is optional on the 150PS diesel.
All-new Skoda Karoq price and release date
The facelifted Skoda Karoq goes on sale on 17 February with first deliveries expected in spring 2022.
The range kicks off with the £25,950 1.0-litre 110PS petrol model in SE Drive Trim, which comes with LED exterior lights and scrolling indicators, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels. You also get Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and rear parking sensors.
SE L models look a bit posher thanks to their 18-inch alloys and chrome window surrounds, they start from £27,785. Additional kit amounts to keyless entry, engine start-stop, front parking sensors and a rear camera. They also get the Winter Pack, which adds a heated steering wheel, front seats and window washers, plus headlight washers.
Sportline models start from £31,385 and add to the kit fitted to the rest of the range with matrix LED headlights, LED interior lighting, panoramic glass roof and an electrically operated boot that you can open by waggling your foot under the rear bumper.
Can’t wait for the facelifted Skoda Karoq... how about the current model?
Sure there’s a new Skoda Karoq on the way, but it’s only a light facelift, fundamentally it’s the same car you can buy now, so why not save a little money on an older car? It makes sense. The outgoing Karoq is a brilliant family SUV that blends a well thought out and practical cabin, with a range of engines that are frugal to run. You can pick up high-mile examples 2018 for as little as £13,000. We’d up our budget to £16,500, though, that buys you an SE model – which has all the spec you really need – with less than 30,000 miles on the clock.
No, the Skoda Karoq is still on sale and a facelifted model will be available from 17 February.
The Skoda Karoq went on sale in 2017, slotting below the Kodiaq in Skoda’s SUV range.
Yes, diesel versions of the Skoda Karoq are available with four-wheel drive as an option.
