Approved Used explained
What benefits are included?
Keep reading to find out the benefits of buying cars like the Hyundai i10, Hyundai Kona, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Hyundai Tucson on the manufacturer-backed used scheme, which is called Hyundai Promise.
Hyundai Approved used cars come with one of the best warranties you'll find on an approved used scheme, with a minimum of 18 months of cover supplied with the car. That covers you for anything that isn't classed as a wear-and-tear item, such as tyres and brake pads.
The Hyundai scheme doesn't cover any MOT work.
Cars on the Hyundai approved used scheme are checked by Hyundai-approved technicians who examine every car against a comprehensive list of checks, so it should be prepared to the highest standard before you get it.
Every Hyundai on the approved used scheme is independently checked for outstanding finance and mileage discrepancies, so there should be no nasty surprises further down the line.
If you're not happy with your approved used Hyundai, you can swap it for a car of the same value or more (with you covering the additional cost) within 30 days or 1000 miles of the initial purchase.
Hyundai includes driveaway cover for any car bought under the Hyundai approved used scheme, so long as you request an annual insurance quote from Hyundai. If you choose permanent Hyundai cover, Hyundai will cover the cancellation fee of your current insurer – up to 10% of your entire Hyundai insurance premium.
On top of that, Hyundai also gives you a £250 voucher towards the excess of any insurance policy, should you need it.
Hyundai’s smallest and cheapest car is one of its best – the i10 city car is inexpensive to run but still has a quality feel. The larger i20 hatchback offers more space and greater refinement, while the i30 is a compact hatch with low running costs and plenty of equipment – it’s also available in estate and fastback versions too. Hyundai has a range of EV and hybrid models, including the Kona, Ioniq, Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, all offering eco-minded motoring at a reasonable price, while the i40 model is a large hatchback or estate with impressive quality and space. Hyundai’s SUV line-up includes the attractive Tucson and the huge Santa Fe, which comes in seven-seat form for added versatility.
Although one of the younger car companies in operation, having been founded in 1967, South Korean manufacturer Hyundai is the third-largest vehicle manufacturer in the world. However, Hyundai didn’t design and build its first car until 1975, and UK sales only began in 1982.
