heycar – Free Insurance Offers

Terms and conditions

The heycar free insurance promotions (the “Promotion”) are provided by Mobility Trader UK Limited, trading as heycar ("heycar", "we", "us" and "our"). We are a limited company, registered in England. Our registered company number is 12016686, and our registered office is at 5 New Street Square, London, United Kingdom, EC4A 3TW. Our website is at heycar.co.uk (the "heycar site") use of which is also subject to our heycar Terms of Use. Purchases of vehicles advertised for sale by us on the heycar site are subject to our Purchase Terms.

By registering for the Insurance Promotion you will be deemed to accept these terms, together with all claim instructions which form part of these terms. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms shall constitute a product warranty or a contract of insurance.

Promotion One (30 days free insurance) 

1.1. This offer applies to qualifying online enquiries on the heycar site between 13th June 2023 and 31st May 2024 (inclusive) (the "Promotion Period") then, subject to these terms and conditions, we will pay your first month’s insurance premium.

Eligibility

3.1 Promotion One (30 Days Free Insurance)

In order to be eligible for the “30 Days Free Insurance” promotion, you must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Submit a ‘message dealership’ enquiry on an eligible heycar vehicle within the Promotion Period; 
  • purchase that vehicle from that dealership (cash purchase or finance) within 14 days of making the enquiry;
  • the policy must be activated within 30 days of the promotion end date,
  • subject to underwriting criteria and acceptance,
  • you must be a resident of the United Kingdom aged 17 years or older,
  • you must not be an employee of heycar or any of its agents, suppliers or related companies or otherwise connected with the dealer or related personally or professionally with any such person or any members of their immediate families or households.

3.3 Exclusion of eligibility 

You will not be eligible for either Promotion if:

we suspect any breach of applicable law, including in relation to fraud, money laundering or other dishonesty relating to the claim.

you cancel your insurance, you will not receive a refund on the premium contribution paid by heycar

Registration for Promotion One

Provided you have made an eligible enquiry within the Promotion Period, you will be eligible to register for the Promotion subject to completing the insurance application form and subject to underwriting criteria and acceptance.

Other important terms

We reserve the right to amend or withdraw the Promotion at any time on reasonable notice provided that no such amendment or withdrawal will affect your rights in relation to vehicles already purchased at the time the amendments or withdrawal comes into effect. 

Entry into this Promotion cannot be in conjunction with any other offer. Lost, incomplete, invalid, illegible or late claims will not be accepted. we reserve the right to dispute a claim if we believe the claim is not legitimate. heycar’s decision is final. 

The Promotion are non-transferable to another vehicle, does not apply for optional add-ons and are non refundable.  No cash alternative will be offered and the Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with another heycar insurance promotion.  

Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude our liability to you for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that, by law, may not be limited or excluded. Subject to this, in no event shall we be liable to you for any loss, damage or disappointment suffered as a result of your entering (or inability to enter) the Promotion or your acceptance or non-acceptance of the Promotion.

You may not transfer or assign any or all of your rights or obligations under these terms. If we fail to enforce any of our rights, that does not result in a waiver of that right. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, all other provisions shall remain unaffected.

These terms and any document expressly referred to in them represent the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the subject matter of the Promotion. These terms may not be varied except with our express written consent.

These terms shall be governed by English law, except that (if you are a consumer and not a business user) and if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, there may be certain mandatory applicable laws of your country which apply for your benefit and protection in addition to or instead of certain provisions of English law. 

You agree that any dispute between you and us regarding these terms will only be dealt with by the English courts, except that (if you are a consumer and not a business user) and if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can choose to bring legal proceedings either in your country or in England, but if we bring legal proceedings, we may only do so in your country.
